After Alex Rins’ podium finish and fifth place finish for Alex Marquez in Le Mans, the MotoGP sets off to the other side of the Alps, and reaches Mugello. Rins raced on the Italian course for the first time last year and came seventh, after setting off from the front row of the grid. A good result in his debut year, as his riding style is well suited to this circuit, made up of 15 corners and a number of rises and falls.
His team-mate, Alex Marquez, will race for the first time at Mugello, although he has seen his brother race three times, he has never done so himself. It is the fifth date in the MotoGP season, and the fourth time that the Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 rider races at a circuit for the first time. So, the guidelines for the weekend are clear: become familiar with the all the corners of the circuit and tune his Moto3, so as to continue his progression in Sunday’s race.
The Gran Premio d’Italia begins to warm up engines with the first free practice sessions in this category, which will be held on Friday at 9am (Spanish time)
