In 2013, we welcomed visits from distributors and clients from around the world. These commercial visits, organised by our export departments and companies, have enabled our clients to familiarise themselves with our facilities and where our products are made.
UK
Our importer in the UK, PLB, and our Welsh distributor visited us in September. The committee was made up of ten people among which there were important clients. They all visited the Estrella Galicia brewery and afterwards took part in a Spanish cuisine course especially designed for the occasion. They also met international chefs, Xosé Cannas and Pepe Solla, who prepared a food pairing lunch for the event.
USA
In November, we were visited by a large group of distributors and a journalist, all accompanied by Matthew Szymanski, Managing Director of Balearic Beverages. The group visited our brewery and offices in A Coruña, Custom Drinks and Ponte da Boga. Besides this, the group also discovered the cities of A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela, enjoying Galician cuisine and entertainment during the three-day visit.
INDIA
The Sales Manager for our importer in India visited our A Coruña facilities in May. Rivera Europe began to work with this importer in 2012 with the Estrella Galicia and 1906 Reserva Especial brands.
MOZAMBIQUE
Our importer in Mozambique visited our brewery and offices in A Coruña, in addition to our bar, Cerveceria Cuatro Caminos, in July. This client, with whom we have been working since 2012, currently distributes 1906 Reserva Especial, Magma de Cabreiroá, and Lerele throughout the country.
SINGAPORE
The Managing Director of our Singapore importer visited our A Coruña brewery and offices in June, in addition to Custom Drinks and Ponte da Boga. We began to work with this importer this year, and it distributes our complete range of beers and has recently added Maeloc to its product portfolio.
LIBYA
The Libyan importer visited the Estrella Galicia factory in September. We began successfully trading here this year, where Cabreiroa and Estrella Galicia 0,0 can already be consumed.
MOROCCO
The Moroccan importer was at our Estrella Galicia factory in September. Morocco is one of the latest additions regarding exportation. Products have already been sent (Estrella Galicia and Cabreiroá) and the future looks promising.
SOUTH KOREA
Our importer in Korea visited us in November. The eight-strong group led by the President of the group, its Managing Director and the Director of Spain Club (a chain of tapas restaurant) visited the Estrella Galicia factory and the offices in A Coruña, as well as our bar, Cerveceria Cuatro Caminos.
