In 2014 we launched the First Spanish Estrella Galicia Beer Pulling Championship “Beer Master”. The Salón de Gourmets in Madrid was the setting for the first great contest in which over 30 participants from all over the country competed. After a number of phases in which they demonstrated their skills serving draught and bottled beer and answering questions about the world of beer, Daniel Giganto Arias, from the restaurant Amancio in León, won Best Beer Puller in Spain. In addition, he won a prize of a thousand euros and his weight in beer.
The success of the first edition has encouraged us to organise the II Spanish Beer Pulling Championship, which has already seen two regional phases in Andalusia and the Basque Country. In 2015 the champion will be announced during the grand final which will be held in April, once again at the Madrid Salón de Gourmets.
