With his project, Ibérica de Esponjas Luffa, Juan Carlos Mascato produces organic plant sponges, made from cucumbers cultivated in Galicia, that offer excellent benefits for the skin. Nevertheless, he and those that accompany him on this adventure know very well that these sponges are just a step away from another great challenge: to get rid of plastic.
Juan Carlos was at the Parladoiros 2015 and we were able to listen to his story, a story that tells of his research into the creation of plant sponges, and how these sponges are more sought-after in Latin America than in their native Galicia.
