Estrella Galicia at the new edition of the ‘Salón de Gourmets’

We will be supporting gastronomy with a positive impact and well-served beer, promoting a wide range of activities in this edition that will take place from April 25 to 28 at Ifema Madrid.

We will present at the Salon our two most recent launches: Fábrica de Cervezas Estrella Galicia con Grelos and the Estrella del Camino, the beer made with ingredients from different points of the Camino followed by pilgrims with which we pay tribute to the Xacobeo year.

With Magma de Cabreiroá we have joined the I Spanish Championship of Gourmet Pizzas and we will also develop creative cocktail proposals in our stand located in Hall 4 of the venue.

Our proposal in this reference gastronomic meeting will be completed with other informative initiatives around beer and Ponte da Boga wine tastings or Maeloc ciders.

With Estrella Galicia we return to the Salón de Gourmets again as the official beer of this reference gastronomy event that will bring together more than 2,000 exhibitors from 63 countries next week in Madrid. From April 25 to 28, we will carry out an important display of proposals, this time with a special focus on gastronomy with a positive impact and well-poured beer.

El martes convocamos por segunda vez nuestra Final nacional Desafío XChef by Cervezas 1906 destinado a chefs que apliquen buenas prácticas en su cocina generando un impacto positivo en la sociedad. Los profesionales que participan en este certamen, ganadores regionales, deben presentar una propuesta gastronómica original, armonizada con alguna de las variedades de la familia 1906.  El jurado evalúa la originalidad y creatividad de la receta, la capacidad del chef para transmitir el valor gastronómico de su propuesta, el empleo de productos de temporada y de proximidad y la aplicación de prácticas de sostenibilidad e impacto positivo en su cocina.

Lugar: Auditorio Gourmet (Pabellón 8)

Horario: de 11:00 a 14:00 horas.

Entrega de premios: 13:30 horas

On Tuesday we hold for the second time our National Final XChef Desafio by Beers 1906 aimed at chefs who apply good practices in their kitchen generating a positive impact on society. The professionals who participate in this contest, regional winners, must present an original gastronomy proposal, harmonized with one of the varieties of the 1906 family.  The jury evaluates the originality and creativity of the recipe, the chef’s ability to transmit the gastronomic value of his proposal, the use of seasonal and proximity products and the application of sustainability practices and positive impact in his kitchen.

Place: Gourmet Auditorium (Hall 8)

Time: from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Prize-giving: 13:30 pm

On the same Tuesday, Estrella Galicia Beer Pulling Championship will take place in the morning. This national edition will bring together the champions of the previous regional editions and determine who is the Best Beer Puller in Spain. Applicants will have to demonstrate their skill in serving both tap and bottled beer and accredit their brewing knowledge before a jury of experts.

Place: Hijos de Rivera stand (Hall 4)

Hours: from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Awards ceremony: 12:45 p.m.

In addition, this year with Cabreiroá, official water of the Salón Gourmets, we have joined the Spanish Championship of Gourmet Pizzas by Magma de Cabreiroá that will be held for the first time in our country. Classic pizza, taglio, peel and gluten-free, as well as a promising acrobatic test led by Jesús Marquina, Il Dottore Marquinetti, founder and director of the Spanish Association of Artisan Pizza Makers and 5 times world champion. The winners of each category will have the right to participate, with the AEPA – Spanish Association of Artisan Pizza Makers – in the World Pizza Championship that will take place in Parma in 2023. This activity will take place throughout Monday 25.

The activity in our stand will be completed with cocktail workshops with our Magma de Cabreiroá, informative initiatives on beer, Maeloc ciders or our Ponte da Boga wines workshops or a session of our Rivera vermouth.
