Magma de Cabreiroá Original Aluminium 0.5l has been awarded the prize for Best Natural Sparkling Water at this international contest, and Cabreiroá 33cl Kidz has won the top prize in the Best Brand category. These awards serve as international recognition for the best developments in the bottled water industry, a reference in terms of quality and innovation within the sector.
Our mineral water brand, Cabreiroá, has been awarded top prize in the international contest at the Global Bottled Water Awards 2017 in the “Best Brand” category, for Cabreiroá 33cl Kidz, and “Best Natural Sparkling Water”, for Magma de Cabreiroá Original Aluminium 0.5l.
These awards, organised by the prestigious consultants, Zenith International, serve as recognition for the best achievements in the mineral water bottling sector on an international level, a reference in terms of quality and innovation within the sector.
The winners in the different categories of these international awards were announced at the Congreso Mundial de Agua Embotellada (Bottled Water World Congress) held in Barcelona.
In this edition, the Global Bottled Water Awards brought together over 100 international bottled water brands from 23 different countries with the aim of evaluating the different water brands in the sector with regards to innovation, packaging, taste and marketing.
Regarding Magma de Cabreiroá Original Aluminium 0.5l, the judges highlighted that it was “an extraordinary water” with a “delicious flavour and slightly spicy” that leaves an “excellent sensation in the mouth”. They also highlighted its “innovative presentation”, as well as its “natural carbonisation”.
With regards to Cabreiroá 33cl Kidz, the experts gave special mention to its educational role stating that it raises awareness of the benefits of proper hydration, by offering “a great idea to encourage children to drink more water”. They were also pleased with the innovative “learning + play component” with the colourful labels and tops, as well as its bottling “easy to carry whilst maintaining its shape”, attributes that make this water “very attractive for its target consumer”.
David Fernández, Water Product Manager at Hijos de Rivera, was delighted with these awards, and stated that “it is a source of great pride that a Galician brand has been awarded the top prize in two categories in which it has competed with international brands”.
He highlighted that “these awards are the reward for great teamwork and the goal of generating value in the market”.
With regards to the products that received the rewards, David Fernández has, on the one hand, pointed out the unique personality that makes Magma de Cabreiroá Original a surprising water and, on the other hand, the support of education and children’s learning of Cabreiroa’s children’s format, making the award this product has been given “even more special”.
