Antia isn’t happy to simply be a representative of the future of the countryside. In her talk she defends, with a strength and self-awareness which surprises coming form a 17-year-old, the idea that the countryside is the present and that we cannot continue to allow the loss of identity and history which escapes every time a village or hamlet is abandoned.
This teenager from Escudeiros (Ourense) defends, with unusual reasoning for someone her age, the need and responsibility that we have to make the Galician countryside once again the dynamic strength and backbone of Galicia. Subjects such as the cultural tradition or the stories that we are losing with each village that is abandoned are set out by this young woman in such a direct and natural manner that it inevitably makes one think.
