For the second consecutive year, the Hijos de Rivera Co-Cooking Programme goes off to a festival, returning to PortAmérica. On the 17, 18 and 19 of July at Porto do Molle in Nigrán the best line up this summer will be shared with the best chefs.
Co-cooking ShowRocking will be a perfect fusion between rhythm and cooking for which we have a line up of 12 international chefs with 8 Michelin Stars between them and a wide Galician representation who, led by Pepe Solla, will delight those who attend with “pinchos” created especially for the Festival. They will do so shoulder to shoulder with 24 students from Galician Catering colleges who will have a unique opportunity to learn alongside great names thanks to our Co-cooking Programme.
On this occasion, there will be 24 students from catering colleges from Galicia (double the number of 2013) who will have the chance to increase their knowledge by sharing experiences with 12 of the best chefs from around the world. Among them are Alberto González (Silabario Tui), Xosé Cannas (Camiño da Serpe), Javier Olleros (Culler de Pau), Héctor López (España), Lucía Freitas (A Tafona), Diego López (La Molinera), Iago Pazos (Abastos 2.0), the Mexican chef Roberto Ruiz (Punto MX) and the Peruvian chef Estanis Carenzo (Chifa).
The main aim of the Hijos de Rivera Co-cooking Programme is to contribute to the training of highly qualified professionals by encouraging the exchange of knowledge in such a way that it adds value to the potential of Galician cuisine as a tourist attraction in our area.
