Inauguration of Sansoeurs ’ 12 Miradas on Wednesday 26 of April at 8.30pm in Galería Vilaseco.
Carlos Quintáns, artistic director of the project, will present Cristina Sánchez, founder of the firm Sansoeurs, on Wednesday 26 April, at 8.30pm, within the cultural project 12miradas::Riverside which is backed by Corporación Hijos de Rivera and Laboratorio Creativo Vilaseco.
Cristina will give an talk to the public where all those interested can explore 12 combinations of images- commented upon by the protagonist of the event- and an exhibit with small visual stories that will invite the observer to exercise their own gaze. The exhibition will be open to the public until 19 May, in the exhibition area that the gallery has available for the programme.
During the event, the designer will share her personal vision of the jewellery that has led to Sansoeurs becoming one of the most innovative jewellery firms in Spain.
Cristina Sánchez studied architecture at ETSA in A Coruña and worked at the Tokyo studio of Kazuyo Sejima + Ryue Nishizawa/SANAA to later focus on designing fashion accessories for ZARA.
Together with her sister, they have brought to life a jewellery design project called SANSOEURS that began in 2010, that currently has points of sale around the world in countries such as Japan, Korea, USA, Lebanon, amongst others.
Despite the brand’s young age, its products have already participated in important publicity and editorial campaigns in some of the most well known magazines in Spain. Likewise, each season they present their new collections at some of the most important events in the sector on an international level, such as Tranoi and Man | Woman, both held in Paris, and Capsule and Designer & Agents, held in New York and Los Angeles.
