On Sunday 17 November, the fifth edition of the “5KM Solidarios” (“Charity 5km race”) will take place in A Coruña. This sporting and charity event, organised by volunteers at Corporación Hijos de Rivera will donate all the money raised to help cover the needs of the Banco de Alimentos Rías Altas (Rias Altas Food Bank).
After the success of the last edition, this year the organisers hope to have on the support of hundreds of participants. The Agrela industrial estate in A Coruña has once again been chosen to host this fun, sporting, and charitable event, supported by the volunteers at Corporación Hijos de Rivera and the Rías Altas Food Bank.
The race will be held on Sunday 17 November from 11am, on a 5km circuit that will start at the Estrella Galicia brewery, on José María Rivera Corral street in the Agrela Industrial Estate.
All the money collected by this charity event will be donated to the Rias Altas Food Bank in A Coruña to help them in their task of collecting and handing out food to those collectives who rely on their help.
There are no limits: everyone is invited to participate. There is no age limit, and the race can be done running or walking. Pets can also take part, as long as they are kept on their leads. Once the race is over, there will be a zumba class to bring the event to a festive close.
Taking part costs €5 per person, as a donation, and the last day to sign up is the day before the race on Deporticket https://www.deporticket.com/web-evento/4193-v-carrera-benefica-5km-solidarios, and on the day of the race, the deadline then being 30 minutes before the start of the race, at the signing up point.
