This morning we held the official presentation of the line-up and news for the 34th edition of the Carballeira de Zas Festival, an unmissable date for folk music lovers, that will take place on the 4th and 5th of August.
At the presentation, held at our emblematic beer hall in Cuatro Caminos in A Coruña, were Goretti Sanmartín, vice-president and the Diputacion de A Coruña responsible for Culture; Óscar Lema, deputy mayor of Zas; Manuel García, councilor for Culture in Zas; Fidel Otero, the Festival director; and our colleague, Víctor Mantiñán, brand manager of SON Estrella Galicia.
The Carballeira de Zas Festival once again invites all those who love parties, parades, good music, crafts and Galician cuisine to come to Zas, in the Tierra de Soneira area.
Year after year, for thirty-four years now, on the banks of the river in Zas, folk music and Galician culture lovers come together to enjoy dance performances, tambourines and bagpipes, and the best Galician gastronomy.
Estrella Galicia will collaborate yet another year with this event, one of the most important folk music festivals in Galicia, that brings together the best Spanish and international folk, gathering a multitude of bands and fans of this musical style. After beating the attendance record last year, the Carballeira de Zas festival reaches its thirty-fourth edition stronger than ever with the folk-metal band, Korpiklaani, headlining and with names such as Milladoiro, Gwendal, Os Fillos do Estramonio, Moxie, Rare Folk and Radios Cos included in the line up.
