The 100% social mineral water company AUARA allocates all its dividends to facilitate access to drinking water in developing countries.
AUARA also achieves a significant environmental impact. It was the first European beverage company that decided and managed to package all its bottles with 100% recycled rPET plastic.
The social enterprise AUARA and Hijos de Rivera have decided to promote their social project and positive impact with a distribution agreement by which all AUARA products are incorporated into the distribution offer of the Galician company in Spain and Portugal.
In this way, AUARA’s mineral waters will be available to Hijos de Rivera clients, thus completing its portfolio with a 100% social purpose. The mineral water division of the Galician company already has its own springs of Cabreiroá (Ourense), Agua de Cuevas (Asturias) and Fontarel (Granada).
AUARA is a Spanish mineral water social enterprise that invests 100% of the dividends it generates with its sales in developing projects for access to drinking water in developing countries. Since its launch in September 2016, it has already given access to water to more than 85,100 people from 19 countries, and has generated 135.3 million litres of drinking water, having received numerous awards and recognitions.
In addition to this social impact, AUARA also achieves a significant environmental impact. It was the first European beverage company that decided to manufacture all its bottles with 100% recycled rPET plastic.
In the opinion of Francisco Ucha, general director of Hijos de Rivera, “this support through our distribution will substantially increase the potential for AUARA’s social impact, which we join by providing our channels and positioning both on and off-trade, allowing the arrival of the brand’s products to new markets and, with this, multiply the budget allocated to social projects.”
