The latest edition of the Parladoiros featured five new initiatives from the Galician countryside: Muuhlloa, Woodworks Buschmann Bella, Orballo, Naturavia and Fogar do Santiso.
The Parladoiros del Mercado de la Cosecha 2016 can be seen online on YouTube via this link .
Over 300 people enjoyed the Parladoiros live at the Teatro Afundación de Vigo in November. Now, the five chats and the musical performance by the luthier Iván Gulín are available on the MundoHR channel on Youtube.
Pepe and Carla from Naturavia told us how, almost by chance, they entered the world of natural cosmetics. Nowadays, their brand is certified as 100% ecological and, from Ribadavia, competes with the biggest names in the sector.
There are also inspirational stories about reinvention, such as Marta Álvarez’s, who had already surprised us at the first edition of the Parladoiros, and now surprises us once again with Muuhlloa, a collaborative project with her friends from Milhulloa to make natural cosmetics and launch the first moisturiser made with 100% ecological milk from Galician cows. Or Fogar do Santiso’s story, one of the most famous grill restaurants in Galicia, which has been turned into an ecological restaurant that already has two premises.
Orballo is the result of a dream come true. Gerardo Lagares’ job in Madrid didn’t make him happy, so he began to design a project that would bring him back to Galicia and bring him closer to this land. He took the leap and, nowadays, he cultivates ecological aromatic herbs and spices with which he makes delicious herbal teas. His next project is to cultivate the first Galician tea.
Frank Buschmann, a German settled in Galicia, discovered that Corcubión was the environment that he needed to develop his Woodworks Buschmann Bella project, a carpentry and artisan workshop that is also a way to understand life and an invitation to reflection.
Quique Morales was the journalist in charge of presenting this edition of the Parladoiros during which we could also enjoy the humour of the comedian Víctor Grande. This was the fourth edition of the Parladoiros that, every year since 2013, have revealed the most innovative initiatives of the Galician countryside and is one of the main activities within the Mercado de la Cosecha, our social action project that we aim to make a competitive lever in the socioeconomic development of the countryside, through raising awareness about singular projects that inspire and generate wealth and socioeconomic development in rural areas.
