Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 has left winter behind and with it the lack of activity on the track to start the pre-season. The preparation was only briefly interrupted on Monday 18 February for the presentation at the Real Fábrica de Tapicesin Madrid of the Estrella Galicia 0,0motorcycling project for the 2019 season.

The Real Fábrica de Tapicesand its 300 years of history –it was founded by king Felipe V in 1721- served as the setting for the presentation of the new edition of the pyramidal structure of Estrella Galicia 0,0 for a season that promises to be as exciting or more so than the previous.

The effort made by Estrella Galicia 0,0 in collaboration with Monlau Repsol Technical School and the Belgian car manufacturer Marc VDS will be seen across the board in Moto2 and Moto3, as well as the MotoE World Championship, the new class exclusively for electric bikes.

The support of Estrella Galicia 0,0 for emerging talent will also be present in the Junior Moto3 World Championship, the European Talent Cup – both categories part of the FIM CEV Repsol –  as well as in the RFME Spanish Speed Championship.

The Moto2 World Championship will this year become a totally new category for the riders due to the changes introduced in the technical regulations. The new machines will run on a 765cc tri-cylinder engine, a modification that promises to increase, if possible, the spectacle of a category marked by mechanical equality on the at the start line.

Álex Márquez (Cervera –Lérida–, 23 April 1996)will once again be the spearhead of Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS in Moto2. After having regularly been on the podium last year, the 2014 Moto3 world champion starts the season ready for his definitive leap towards the world title in the middle category.

Xavi Vierge (Barcelona, 30 April 1997) completes the line up for the Moto2 team, searching for the great opportunity that will place him among the aspirants for the top spot and the fight for the title.

Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Moto3 will once again have two young talents on the starting blocks searching for their own place on the first step among the world elite.

Alonso López (Madrid, 21 December 2001)begins his second season in the Moto3 World Championship as an obligatory stage in his career linked to Estrella Galicia 0,0 right from the start of his career as a rider. His goal will be on the podium regularly, and achieve his first victory.

Sergio García Dols (Burriana –Castellón–, 23 March 2001)will leap onto the World Championship stage this year after having finished second in the Moto3 Junior at the FIM CEV Repsol in 2018 and being the rider that won the biggest number of races in the season. This season, García Dols will be Alonso López’s teammate in the Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Moto3, with whom he already shared a box in 2017 when they both competed in the Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 at the Junior Moto3 World Championship at the FIM CEV Repsol.

The 15-year old rider was the 2016 Pre Moto3 Spain Champion with the School Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 at the RFME CEV.

Mike Di Meglio (Toulouse – France-, 17 January 1988) will be the sole rider representing Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS in the new FIM Enel MotoE World Championship. He was the 125 cc world champion in 2008, and is an ex-MotoGP rider. He joins the team with the aim of offering his very best in the much-awaited category reserved exclusively for electric motorbikes.

The Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 will once again be on the starting block of the Junior Moto3 World Championship with three riders with a promising future.

Daniel Holgado (Alicante, 27 April 2005)came to the end of a solid season this year at the European Talent Cup and in 2019 will take a step further in his training as a Campeonato del Mundo Junior Moto3 World Championship rider. The riders’ relationship with the Monlau Repsol Technical School project goes back to 2017, when Holgado began with Monlau Repsol Technical School Team. In 2016, Holgado ended the season as runner up in the Spain RFME Moto4.

Julián Giral (Zuera, –Zaragoza–, 7 July 2002) arrives at the Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 after having taken part in the 2018 European Talent Cup with the Talent Team Estrella Galicia 0,0, while having Daniel Holgado as a team-mate. The rider from Zaragoza has also been part of the Monlau Repsol Technical School Team.

Ryusei Yamanaka (Chiba –Japón–, 6 November 2001)joins the Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 this season after having competed in the last three races of the Junior Moto3 of the FIM CEV Repsol and winning one of the two MotoGP Red Bull Rookies Cup races held in Austria, where he came sixth. In 2016 he came fourth in the Asia Talent Cup.

The tough European Talent Cup will once again bring together a new batch of riders who are looking to make progress in their career, and the Talent Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 will once again be present as a reference team with three riders.

Jose Antonio Rueda (Sevilla, 29 October 2005)will once again be at the European Talent Cup after having finished fourth in 2018 with one win and three podiums. His aim in 2019 is to fight for the title for the continental promotion prize. He came third in the Monlau Repsol Technical School Team at the RFME 85GP Spain Championship  in 2017. Like Holgado and Giral, Rueda comes from the Monlau Repsol Technical School .

“Yet another season, at Estrella Galicia 0,0, we will continue to support and believe in the talent of our motorcycling riders and building a unique and different story at the MotoGP World Championship. This project wouldn’t be viable if we didn’t share the same dream and desire to chase our dreams with the riders and teams that make up Team Estrella Galicia 0,0, with whom we have won a number of titles and become a consolidated and reference structure in the MotoGP paddock. 2019 will be a season during which we will continue to enjoy the great relationship made up of the passion that moves us when it comes to making beer with that of our riders and teams to be more and more competitive”.
