After an intense tour in Mexico, USA, and Europe, and a summer full of Spanish festivals, Luis A. Segura sets off to Big Sur on the Californian coast where, along with the producer Matt Wignall and his friend Kyle, he writes a huge amount of new songs inspired by wild nature, cliffs, forests, roadside motels and long night-time conversations around a fire. All of this is reflected in songs such as “Secrets Undone”, which will be presented exclusively within SON Estrella Galicia.

Sharon Van Etten has grown at a dizzying speed, and to be honest, we aren’t really surprised. The girl from Brooklyn has turned her urban, night-time folk into an extension of her mood, a mixture of emotional turbulence that she poured into projects like “Because I Was In Love” and “Epic”, and by the time “Tramp” came along, she had already left any comparison to Cat Power behind. Consolidated as one of the great urban singer-songwriters of our time, this artist from the USA returns with “Are We There?”, a project in which she is accompanied by members of Beirut or The National, among others.

El Futuro. This is the title of the eighth record from Niños Mutantes. A stroke of genius that makes them stand out. It’s not a conceptual project, although it is true that the idea of future is present in many of the songs, in two ways. The future that awaits us, with which they disagree but which can be changed, and the future that they imagined when they were 20. “What we were going to be is what we are now, and it’s by no means dazzling, nor perfect”

For Klahn, the 18 years that have passed since the dissolution of Texas is the Reason have been full of exciting journeys. Through all his diverse projects – the catchy music of Solea, the shoe-gazing of Atlantic/Pacific and, more recently, his first solo album – Klahn’s ability hasn’t stopped growing. His obsession for melody and his appetite for telling stories is still the thread that runs through all his career.
