A total of 15 students from the double Bread and Cake-making course from the CIFP Paseo das Pontes College in A Coruña had the opportunity to take part in a bread-making training activity led by Pan da Moa, through our Co-cooking programme.
This is a collaborative training initiative aimed at students and professionals from the catering sector which, through a number of different activities, contributes to training highly qualified professionals encouraging the exchange of knowledge mainly between producers, chefs, and students.
The bakery at Pan da Moa, in Amio (Santiago), was the setting on this occasion for this session where students learnt about the different types of flour for bread-making, made sourdough, and completed the processes of kneading, fermentation and baking, all of this to complete their knowledge about this product through hands-on training.
Every year, our Co-cooking programme proposes training sessions of great interest to colleges and professionals in the catering sector with the aim of encouraging learning and interrelation of all those involved. To do so, there are practical workshops on different topics such as bread making, dealing with meat, fish and seafood, which are attended by students from the different catering colleges in Galicia.
