Oso Leone (Mallorca) return to the SON Estrella Galicia with a concert in La Iguana, an EG SON venue, on September 13, to present their second album, “ Mokragora”.
They had already surprised us with their first homonymous LP in 2011 (Foehn Records, Barcelona). In their short history, their compositions have evolved from a folk sound to a more individual, organic, hypnotic and stronger one. “Mokragora” (March 2013, Foehn Records) is the result of this progress, in which music generates sound spaces, where restraint, tension and silence become resources for creating music.
Once freed from the functional folk baggage which characterised their recording launch, they entered a new territory ready to carry out exceptional field work, taking samples of life around them and capturing images of ever-changing surroundings, and that is what will be on show on the 13th of September in Vigo with SON Estrella Galicia.
