We travel around Spain for the sixth time with the Campeonato de Tiraje de Cerveza Estrella Galicia(Estrella Galicia Beer Pulling Championship) in the search for the Best Beer Puller in Spain, with the aim of spreading beer culture among the general public, as well as rewarding the professionalism and work of bartenders as a fundamental part of the distribution chain of Hijos de Rivera beers.
Campeonato de Tiraje de Cerveza. Estremadura Contest.
Estrella Galiciais looking for the best beer servers in Estremadura through the VI Beer Pulling Championship, which will take place on 5 November in Mérida.
Plaza de España de Mérida will be the setting for this contest, where twenty participants from different parts of Estremadura will demonstrate their passion for beer, their skill when serving it, and will fight to show why they deserve to win the title of “Best Beer Puller in Estremadura” in this edition.
Campeonato de Tiraje de Cerveza. Andalusia Contest.
The Campeonato de Tiraje de Cerveza will stop off in Andalusia for the VI Campeonato de Tiraje de Cerveza (VI Beer Pulling Championship) in the region, which will take place on 9 November within the frame of Granada Gourmet.
The Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones in Granada will be the setting for the competition, where twenty participants from different parts of Andalusia will demonstrate their passion for beer, their skill when serving it, and will fight to show why they deserve to win the title of “Best Beer Puller in Andalusia” in this edition. The winner and runner up will compete against the winners of the other regional editions at the Spain Grand Final of the VI Campeonato Nacional de Tiraje de Cerveza (VI National Beer Pulling Championship), to be held in Madrid within the Salón de Gourmets next year.
Campeonato de Tiraje de Cerveza. Valencia Contest.
The last stop for the VI Estrella Galicia Beer Pulling Championship in 2018 will take place on 19 November, in the search for the best Beer Puller in Valencia.
The audio-visual co-working space, Nolich, in Valencia city is the chosen location for the contest, which will see twenty bartenders from different parts of the Valencian region fight for the title of Best Beer Puller in Valencia.
A jury made up by experts in serving beer, catering, and gastronomy will be in charge of judging the aspirants’ quality, efficacy, and speed when serving, as well as knowledge about beer culture. In addition, each participant’s activity will be evaluated and given a score, taking into account parameters such as style, technique, and serving beer, the finish, creaminess of the foam, cleanliness, and presentation.
The five finalists in each of the phases held in 2018 will win their weight in beer and a cash prize. The winner will receive €600, the runner up €400, and there will be three consolation prizes of €150 each. All will receive a diploma certifying their participation, and a guaranteed place, for the winner and runner-up, to compete at the Spanish Beer Pulling Championship, with all their travel and accommodation costs covered, to be held in Madrid within the Salón de Gourmets next year.
