The Mercado de la CosechaPop-Up Store closed its doors on October 11 with a last surprise for all those who were lucky enough to happen to be at 38 Riego de Agua. The string quartet Soncello Quartet delighted us with some musical moments to accompany the visitors who spent the last minutes of the week which was dedicated to all the producers who had been part of this ephemeral store during the last three months, while inspiring all those who shared their favourite memories about the countryside by hanging post-its from our trees.
The recital lasted almost an hour during which the members of the Soncello Quartet played some classic pop and rock tunes on the cello such as the U2 track, “Where The Streets Have No Name”, a classic that we share with you here to bid farewell to this initiative and encourage you to continue enjoying our valuable rural areas.
The Mercado de la Cosecha is a social commitment initiative shared by Corporación Hijos de Rivera, R and Gadis. Its main objective is to promote the socioeconomic development of Galicia and the sustainability of rural areas. In order to do so, it carries out different awareness and promotional activities, such as the Parladoiros (Roundtables) already in their second edition, or the Pop-Up store that has just come to an end. The activities carried out by the project can be followed on the official website, www.mercadodelacosecha.com
