To celebrate International Museum Day, the Estrella Galicia Museum will gather 20 museums on Friday around a live streamed beer tasting workshop and a shared toast to the ability to overcome obstacles and reinvent itself that the sector has demonstrated in such a difficult year.
Today May 18 is International Museum Day and MEGA, the Estrella Galicia Museum, has decided to celebrate it paying homage to the motto that presides this year: “The future of museums: Recover and Reimagine”. It’s about highlighting the efforts of museums to rethink and experiment with new and hybrid models to continue enjoying culture in such a difficult year.
MEGA has completely redesigned its experience to meet safety requirements but has not given up a shred of its value offering and continues to be close to people. That is why it wanted to launch a very special proposal to celebrate this day with his followers and friends.
It has developed two live-streaming tasting workshops that will take place on Friday, May 21st with the title “Re-imagining experiences” in which 20 fans of MEGA and 20 museums will participate, with the aim of enjoying a tour of five brewing styles led by the Estrella Galicia Beer Culture team.
Among the museums that will take part in the joint toast to the International Museum Day range from the Guggenheim or Capricho de Gaudí, to the Centro Gallego Arte Contemporáneo, the Museo del Mar de Galicia or the Museum of Fine Arts of A Coruña, the Domus or the House of Sciences, among many others.
Since its opening two years ago, and despite the strange times we have gone through in 2020, MEGA has stood out for its 100% experiential vocation that allows the visitor to participate in a unique brewing tour. Its exhibition proposal has been a success because of its real informative nature, with the differential added value of finding oneself in the midst of a brewery’s daily activity.
