The agricultural engineer Teresa Galí-Izard will give a talk on Friday 21 July at 8.30pm at the Galería Vilaseco as part of our cultural project.
The landscaper and agricultural engineer Teresa Galí-Izard will be the protagonist of the next event in our cultural action programme, 12miradas :: Riverside curated by Carlos Quintáns and supported by Hijos de Rivera and Laboratorio Creativo Vilaseco. During the talk on Friday 21 July, at 8.30pm, at the Vilaseco gallery in A Coruña, Teresa Galí-Izard will share twelve views that have inspired her throughout her artistic career. The event will, therefore, bring the public closer to her work, which is characterized by her will to once again make nature the protagonist, with open, unforced processes that approach an understanding of the individual characteristics that belong to the location.
Workshop in Ribeira Sacra
Teresa Galí-Izard will also lead a practical workshop at the weekend, aimed at students, architects and all those interested in landscape intervention and shaping. The activity, which will take place at our winery Ponte da Boga, in Ribeira Sacra, will allow 12 participants, all of them with a grant from our company, to analyse the artist’s work looking at the different views of her projects, alongside the artist herself. Likewise, during the workshop, there will be a project based on reading the climate, the territory, and its vegetation leading to proposals that will help preserve and connect such a significant location as is Ribeira Sacra.

About 12 miradas :: Riverside
12miradas :: Riverside is a cultural programme in which contemporary creation is the main protagonist and work tool. Promoted by Corporación Hijos de Rivera and the Laboratorio Creativo Vilaseco, and under the artistic direction of Carlos Quintáns, the three main objectives of this project are: to communicate, transmitting to all types of audiences, creative experiences that serve as inspiration and led to development; to connect, stimulating the articulation of new formulas for collaboration among sectors, agents and territories that generate new work flows; and to innovate, encouraging the introduction of creativity as an essential factor in any new models and solution seeking processes.
The events that are part of the programme take place in two settings, commonly understood as opposite, that seek to complement each other via creativity: an urban space, in the city of A Coruña, via talks and exhibitions where the audience explores, throughout the year, the work of 12 creators; and a rural space, with Ribeira Sacra as the chosen location, with residencies and workshops where the participants discover and create in a different environment.
