On Tuesday Ignacio Rivera, CEO of Hijos de Rivera SAU, shared breakfast with the press in our brewery in A Grela to take stock of a particularly positive year for the Company.
During the press breakfast, Ignacio Rivera presented the results for 2014, a year in which production topped 170 million litres of beer and turnover reached the record figure of €280 million. The figures for staff intake were also positive, as almost a hundred new direct jobs were created, 90% of which were permanent contracts.
The breakfast also served to speak about new launches, such as a new pilsner beer, new seasonal beers, as well as a new beer for coeliacs, but also to speak about the success of Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 in the motorcycling world last season or the leap into Formula 1.
Another of the central subjects highlighted during the breakfast was La Cervecería in Cuatro Caminos, “a phenomenon unlike any other in Spain” according to Ignacio Rivera, as in 2014 it served between 1,500,000 and 1,800,000 beers, making it the bar which serves the most beers in the whole of Spain.
