From 18 to 20 November, Hijos de Rivera will have its own space at this gastronomy event and will present a full events programme which includes the Campeonato de Tiraje de Cerveza de Cataluña, the Mixology Contest with Maeloc ciders, and pairing proposals with beers from the 1906 beer family.
The exhibition centre at Montjuïc will be the setting of the Fórum Gastronómico Barcelona (Barcelona Gastronomy Forum) whose slogan is “(Re)pensar la gastronomía” (“(Re)Thinking Gastronomy”). Over 300 companies will be at this gastronomy event, which hopes to gather over 30,000 visitors – mainly sector professionals.
Hijos de Rivera will have a privileged location in this edition where gastronomy, information, and leisure come together for three days, adding a Galician accent to this gastronomy event.
The activities offered at the stand will begin on Monday 18 with the Catalonia edition of the Campeonato de Tiraje de Cerveza(Beer Pulling Championship), 11.30 am to 2.30pm, where the best bartenders of the area will compete for the title and the chance to represent the region in the national championship.
On Tuesday 19, the 1906 pairing contest will take place with each chef creating a tapathat they consider pairs perfectly with one of the members of the 1906 beer family. The champion will go straight through to the VII 1906 Campeonato Gourmetapaat the “Salón de Gourmets” to be held in Madrid in 2020.
The last day of the Fórum is reserved for the Mixología Maeloc (Maeloc Mixology) contest, which seeks to reward the imagination and skill of bartenders when making different cocktails with cider. The objective is to raise awareness about the versatility of Maeloc ciders when creating cocktails.
The Hijos de Rivera stand will bring its activities to an end with 1906 beer and Cabreiroá mineral water tastings, as well as with tastings and presentations of our company’s products.
