Hijos de Rivera has signed a collaboration agreement with the Council of A Coruña which makes it one of the main sponsors of the exhibition “El primer Picasso. A Coruña: 2015″, recently inaugurated by their Royal Highnesses the King and Queen of Spain. The exhibition, which opened its doors to the public on 20 February and will end on 24 May, commemorates the 120th anniversary of the artist’s first exhibition in A Coruña, on Calle Real.
Ignacio Rivera, CEO of Hijos de Rivera SAU, signed the agreement with the Mayor of A Coruña, Carlos Negreira, who highlighted the sensibility that the group has demonstrated with their contribution towards the exhibition.
The “El primer Picasso” exhibition presents over two hundred works, of which 81 are by Picasso. The Andalusian genius spent four years in A Coruña which were fundamental to his training as an artist, and during which he went from amateur to art genius.
