Hijos de Rivera has just become the exclusive distributor for Spain and Portugal of Asahi Super Dry, the most fashionable beer worldwide, which leads the Japanese market and has positioned itself in recent years in the most exclusive Premium segment of 50 countries.

The Galician brewery has just closed an agreement with the Japanese multinational brewery Asahi Breweries, number 1 in the Japanese market, through which it will take charge of the positioning and marketing of its flagship product in the Iberian Peninsula, joining the Groslch and Peroni brands of the same group, which are already part of the distribution portfolio of Hijos de Rivera.

Asahi Super Dry is the most exclusive premium beer in Japan and is marketed in countries around the world, especially in trend-setting venues. Its growth in recent years is outstanding and it has positioned itself at the highest level in markets such as the United Kingdom, where it is setting the pace in the luxury segment.

Francisco Ucha, CEO of Hijos de Rivera, has highlighted that “having the trust of a company of the prestige of Asahi Breweries to represent such an exclusive beer in Spain and Portugal is important support to our distribution business and our ability to reach the premises that set trends today in the hospitality sector”. “Asahi Super Dry is an iconic beer for the Japanese market and also for the global premium beer market as a whole and we are delighted to start this journey together.”

Asahi Breweries is a brewing company founded in 1889 based in Tokyo, Japan, that dominates the Japanese market, especially through its most iconic beer. Asahi Super Dry redefined brewing standards by drawing inspiration from the dry taste of sake. Given the impossibility of defining this unique flavour, they use the term KARAKUCHI generally associated with sake and that has become a philosophy for the brand.
