The new 2013 Christmas Estrella has arrived. Hijos de Rivera launches, once again, a limited edition of its seasonal beer with which to celebrate this festive period with all its consumers. The new Estrella is launched with a modern, fun image and uses, as it does every year, Galician hops from the plantations of Hijos de Rivera and the farmers’ cooperative, Lúpulo Tecnologico de Galicia.
213,600 litres of the new beer have been bottled, and will reach the food and beverage industry throughout Spain in the next few days. That’s around 650,000 bottles to celebrate Christmas with all the consumers of this beer in Spain and abroad.
Modern and fun. That’s the new image of the 2013 Christmas Estrella. A multi-coloured tree dominates the label which changes colour according to the amount of light present thanks to the gloss UV coating on some of the triangles. The bottle collar wishes a Merry Christmas in three languages: Spanish, Galician, and English.
As has become habitual, the new Christmas Estrella is an easy-open bottle, to make it easier to consume. As a novelty this year, the beer will be presented in a new white, laminated 6-bottle pack, with visible bottle necks.
100% malt beer.
Estrella de Navidad is a Special beer, 100% malt with a characteristic pale colour. It has an intense bright gold colour, with an abundant white head which has a characteristic staying power. There is a large amount of fine bubbles. It has an intense malt taste with hints of honey. Its flavour is smooth, a little spiced and slightly sweet due to the amount of malt but with a balanced finish between the bitterness of the hops and the sweetness of the malt.
