Its work has been recognized by the Global Chartered Controller Institute (GCCI) in the VI Awards for Excellence in Management Control, in which the international reference entity recognizes the work of those people and organizations that contribute to disseminate and preserve this function.

Once again, the Global Chartered Controller Institute (GCCI) has recognized the work of individuals and organizations that contribute to disseminating and preserving the management control function. In its VI Awards for Excellence in Management Control, it has recognized the work of the Hijos de Rivera team with the “Award for Excellence in Innovation”.
The entity has valued the work carried out by the Hijos de Rivera Management Control team, led by David Díez Guillén, who has been chosen “for being a business advisor, providing knowledge and analysis that creates value and help the company in decision making”.
The success has focused on three fundamental pillars for the Global Chartered Controller Institute (GCCI): the improvement of technical knowledge that provides tools and authority on a day-to-day basis, the improvement of professional skills that is essential for the establishment of an internal network of interpersonal relationships and, finally, the development of a global vision that gives the professional the ability to understand the value chain of the company and the cause/effect of its role.
As Díez Guillén points out, in a period of 7 years there has been an evolution from the most classic function of Financial Controller, focused mainly on reporting, to a role as a business advisor with a focus on the future as an interpreter and catalyst for improvements, turning data into knowledge and supporting business decisions in Business Case agreed with the areas.
