The professional and trade fair season has begun, with the 18 Salón Gastronómico de Xantar (18th Gastronomy Fair “Xantar”) which will be held from the 1st to 5th February in Expourense. We will be present at this edition with our own multiproduct stand, and numerous tastings open to the public, to allow all attendees to discover our products.
Beer will be one of the protagonists throughout all our activities at Xantar, not only via Estrella Galicia or the1906 range, but also our import beers. Friday 3rd will be Dia de la Cerveza (Beer day) on the stand with a variety of activities, the first of which will be led by our Brand Ambassador for Import Beers, Alfonso Prego. The rest will be led by Fernando Iglesias, Responsible for Beer Culture: World Beers Tasting (1pm), The importance of a good serve (7pm) and the Hijos de Rivera Beers (8pm).
Our Galician cider Maeloc will be at the centre of the activities on Wednesday. José Luis Olmedo, Head of R&D at Hr Incorp, will speak to those present about the variety of our ciders and their unique tastes, as well as about our support of ecological agriculture regarding Galician cider apple production (at 1pm and 7pm).
Oenology will be the protagonist of our activities on Thursday and Saturday.
Thursday 2nd will be Ponte da Boga day, with the participation of our oenologist Rubén Pérez, who will lead a number of tastings.
Saturday 4th will focus on tasting of different wines from the different regions that we distribute. This tasting will be led by Juan Costas, Wine Ambassador for the South of Galicia (at 1pm and 7.30pm).
