12 miradas :: Riverside, the Corporación Hijos de Rivera and Laboratorio Creativo Vilaseco cultural sponsorship programme opens registration for the first workshop in the 2017 edition which will be led by Juan Domingo Santos.
12miradas :: Riverside is a cultural sponsorship programme where contemporary creation is the protagonist and tool. Supported by our Company and the Laboratorio Creativo Vilaseco, and under the artistic direction of Carlos Quintáns, we open the first of four workshops in the 2017 season, with the aim of encouraging research and creativity in the arts, architecture and visual arts.
The architect Juan Domingo Santos will lead this first workshop aimed at students and artists interested in architecture. The maximum number of places available is 12, all of them sponsored by Corporación Hijos de Rivera.
In the work carried out by Juan Domingo Santos there is a strong relationship with territory, with open processes, and with findings that appear as possible shapers of the project.
During the workshop, Juan Domingo will analyse his own work, dealing with different “miradas” (views) in each of his works, and he will experiment with the students in search of different ideas with which to create projects in the setting of the Ribeira Sacra.
There will be an analysis of the area, and proposals will be brought forward that will help to preserve and bring together such a meaningful space as this.
