Basquet Coruña, which competes in the LEB Liga Ora, will have the support of Estrella Galicia and Cabreiroá as official beer and water.
The board and part of the staff of Basquet Coruña have visited MEGA, the museum of Estrella Galicia, today to learn more about its new sponsor and present the second kit that the team will wear this season.
This morning in MEGA, the Estrella Galicia beer museum, the sponsorship agreement between Estrella Galicia and Basquet Coruña materialised, through which the Galician brewer will accompany the club in its trajectory in the second category of this sport at the national level during the next two seasons.
The board and part of the Basquet Coruña team wanted to celebrate this agreement by visiting MEGA, to get to know their new sponsor more closely. It was the perfect time to officially present the second kit that the team will wear this season and discover the names of the three captains: Javi Vega, Alex Hernández and Zach Monaghan.
Through this agreement, Estrella Galicia will be the official beer of the club and its image will be present on the back of the first team shirt. Cabreiroá will be the official water of the club and sponsor of the base categories, who will wear their image on the sides of the kit.
Roberto Cibeira, President of Basquet Coruña, has pointed out that “we are proud to include Hijos de Rivera for the next two seasons as one of our official sponsors through its brands Estrella Galicia and Cabreiroá. A multinational of this caliber based in A Coruña and with a great presence in sports sponsorships, needed to be linked to a representative Club of the city of the size of Basquet Coruña, represented in the LEB ORO and in the over 600 children in the youth teams and schools. Both entities understood that it was a matter of time before our paths crossed, so we hope that the collaboration that begins today will last for many years and we are sure that it will be very fruitful for both parties.”
Jaime Perozo, from Sports Sponsorships at Estrella Galicia, points out that “A Coruña is where it all began, where Estrella Galicia was born and where our heart is. We can finally announce this union between both entities that will keep us together for the next two seasons. The club’s commitment to return the fans and the prestige of basketball to the city, its commitment to talent from the base and, of course, the common origin that unites us and the commitment to the city of A Coruña, make us especially proud today to start celebrating together the future that lies ahead”.
