Estrella Galicia and 1906 are already available at the Grupo Uvesco supermarkets which mainly trade on the coast of Cantabria, from Santander to the lower regions of the Basque Country, under the trade names BM, Netto, Super Amara, Erkoreca and Saski, with a total number of 195 supermarkets and 61 franchises under the name of Ugari and Unico. Uvesco is the most important supermarket chain in this part of the North of Spain and it is listed as number 24 among the top 40 distribution companies.
The Simply chain of supermarkets has introduced three of our products: Estrella Galicia, Estrella Galicia Mini and 1906. This chain belongs to the Auchan (Alcampo) group. It has premises in Castilla Leon, Madrid, Castilla la Mancha, the Basque Country and Catalonia, although where they are very well known is in Aragon, where their headquarters is located. On the top 40 list, they rank number 13. They have 125 of their own supermarkets and 16 franchises.
The El Corte Inglés supermarket chain carries our range of Maeloc ciders. Consumers can find the Achampañada, Dry and Sweet varieties in the El Corte Ingles and Hipercor supermarkets throughout Spain. Maeloc Achampañada cider will be available in all Supercor supermarkets throughout Spain, and the Pear, Blackberry and Strawberry varieties at these supermarkets in Galicia.
Gadisa already has the Achampañada, Sweet, Pear and Blackberry flavoured ciders on its shelves in all its supermarkets. Eroski already sells Achampañada in all its supermarkets throughout Galicia. The Natural, Dry and flavoured varieties are available in all its hypermarkets in Galicia.
All in all, Maeloc can already be purchased in over 470 shops throughout Spain (300 of these in Galicia) and in which stands and signs with our brand image have been placed. Besides this, tastings have been organised, as well as promotional and communication campaigns.
Our Corner in Marineda City
We have set up our first permanent shop-in-shop in the Hipercor at Marineda City (A Coruña). It is made up of 63 square metres of exhibition space and exclusive decoration for all our products. The concept of this space is based on environmental sustainability, using recycled materials such as pallets and wooden boxes. Decorative taps have been set up and will be used for a number of promotional activities and tastings to be carried out here.
