The 5th edition of the Premios de la Música Independiente The Spanish Independent Music Awards) is to be held on the 17th of June in the Nuevo Teatro Alcala (Madrid) with the support of Estrella Galicia, who will be the official sponsor for the third consecutive year.
133 finalists in 23 categories have been nominated for these awards which serve to recognise the Spanish and international independent music sector and are important promotional and exposure tools for all artists and bands in Spain. The list of finalists has been chosen by a jury made up of over 80 opinion leaders and sector professionals. However, it will be the public who decide the winners by voting online at www.premiosdelamusicaindependiente.com.
Estrella Galicia will be the official brand for the ceremony and the Best Artist of the Year award will carry its name. Our brand’s 360º strategy link with indie music comes to a close with the Premios de la Musica Independiente . This strategy allows us to reach our consumers through the sponsorship of festivals, and to offer added value to our clients in the catering sector by organising concerts in their establishments. Through these awards, we also acknowledge the work done by the music industry throughout the year.
The ceremony will be hosted by Leo Bassi. In addition, TVE and Sol Musica will broadcast an hour-long summary during primetime.
