Our beer brand Estrella Galicia is once again looking for the best beer puller in Spain, for the fourth consecutive year, stopping off at the Hotel La Reconquista in Oviedo to hold the Asturias Championship, where we met the Beer Pulling champion of the region.
Martín Galán Rozada, from the Cafetería Cervantes de El Entrego, has been selected by our professional jury as the Best Beer Puller in Asturias during a contest that has been held in this region for the first time.25 participants competed at the tap, with Martín Galán emerging as the winner. Now, this barman from Asturias will have the opportunity to compete with the best beer pullers from the other regions in Spain in the IV Beer Pulling Championship (IV Campeonato de Tiraje de Cerveza) Grand Final, to be held on the 25th of April at the Salón Gourmets in Madrid. Borja Vijande Larriba, from De Larriba Café, runner-up in the contest, will accompany him.
The five finalists were awarded, besides a cash prize (€600 for the winner, €400 for the runner-up, and three consolation prizes of €150 each), their weight in beer, which added up to 425 litres.
