The recently held Campeonato de Tiraje de cerveza Estrella Galicia (Estrella Galicia Draught Beer Pulling Championship) in the Basque Country not only left us with a champion and a runner-up, both of whom will take part in the grand final in Madrid in April, but also a great number of images and good memories.
Sara Pedrosa won the Championship and, along with Xabier Fresco (runner-up), will represent the Basque Country in the Spanish Championship. They were both the protagonists of the day but not the only ones who enjoyed themselves, as the other 28 participants tried their luck and put their knowledge and skills into practice in the complicated art of serving beer. In addition, an enthusiastic audience encouraged and supported participants until the last beer was served. The jury in charge of evaluating the protagonists had a difficult but crucial task. An unforgettable day and one which will serve to make the Basque Country fight in order to have amongst its inhabitants the best beer puller in Spain.
