As part of its support of local gastronomy, our brand Estrella Galiciahas, once again, collaborated with the Concurso de Tapas de Vigo(Vigo Tapas Contest) “Petisquiño”, which this year celebrated its fifth anniversary, from 25 of October to 11 November.
This contest is organized by the Federación Provincial de Empresarios de Hostelería de Pontevedra FEPROHOS(Pontevedra Provincial Federation of Hospitality BusinessesFEPROHOS), which has supported the economic and social development of the hospitality sector in the Pontevedra province since 1977.
A total of 62 bar and restaurant owners from the city of Vigo participated in the most popular edition of the contest to date,putting their proposals forward so diners and an expert jury made up of twelve members from the world of hospitality could evaluate them.
All those participating in this tapas route, made up of 62 establishments in the city, who cast their vote with their five choices and with the stamp of five establishments were also entered into a draw that included a number of different prizes, like that from our brand Estrella Galicia.
The winner of the fifth edition of “Petisquiño” was Trepia Gastronomía -calle Carral, 9- with is tapa “Codillo, setas e castañas” (Knuckle, mushrooms and chestnuts), inspired by seasonal Galician products that participants were able to try for €3.50.
The prizes were given out at “La Cervecería” in Plaza de Compostela, and the mayor of Vigo, Abel Caballero, as well as the councillors Santos Héctor Rodríguez Díaz and Nuria Rodríguez Rodríguez were present.
