With the aim of spreading our beer culture, the Company is carrying out an Annual Dissemination and Training Programme at prestigious Catering Colleges throughout Spain. The initiative is carried out every year in order to generate loyalty among future catering professionals, using the brewing tradition of Estrella Galicia as an important tool and creating a relationship with our brands.
This initiative, designed and led by the Hijos de Rivera Quality Control Department, was set up a few seasons ago in Galicia, and is currently available in a number of Spanish regions with an updated content.
The Programme contains several modules, which can be adapted to the needs of each College. Within it, the students learn about the theory and practice of brewing which encompasses such diverse topics as the characteristics of the raw materials, the beer making process, tasting, food pairing, and key concepts regarding serving beer, amongst others.
Last year, over 600 students completed the Programme, and this year 400 future catering professionals have already enrolled. In 2014, these activities have already been carried out in Santiago, Vigo, Seville, Malaga and Merida.
This week, the Programme continues in Galicia, at the Centro Superior de Hosteleria de Galicia, continuing on to locations like Toledo, Asturias, Badajoz, Benalmadena and Catalonia.
