The champion and runner-up of this stage will automatically classify for the Spanish Championship in Madrid in April. Daniel Giganto arrived at the Spanish National Beer Pulling Championship in Madrid quietly, and left it victoriously. He proved to be the best beer puller because of his attention to detail, patience and care taken regarding the product.
It is not surprising that Giganto achieved first prize for serving beer. Born and bred among the hobs of the family’s restaurant, Amancio, his enthusiasm for the catering world led him to what was at the time the best restaurant in the world, El Bulli. There, he learnt to care for the finer details, which he himself considers fundamental in order to stand out. That was, probably, what made the jury award him the title of best draught beer puller in Spain. Currently, he is sommelier and maître d’ at his beloved Restaurante Amancio and also the manager of Pub El Deseo, where he enjoys making cocktails, his other great passion.
