Our brand of mineral water joins the World Championship of adventure racing, Raid Gallaecia, held from October 2 to 9 in Galicia.
With a long tradition in sports sponsorships, from football to surfing, Cabreiroá is now supporting the toughest race in the world.
Cabreiroá and Raid Gallaecia-AR World Championship 2021 announce their sponsorship agreement during the Adventure Racing World Championship, which will be held from October 2 to 9 in Galicia with a 620 kilometre-long route and over 17,000 meres of altitude. The competition will have the support of our company through our Cabreiroá brand as official water, in addition to Estrella Galicia and the company’s range of beers.
Cabreiroá is linked to outstanding football and basketball teams, as well as international sporting events such as the surfing world championship. In addition, the natural mineral water brand, with its Origin Project, promotes environmental activism with a philosophy of positive impact and circularity.
Cabreiroá is now committed to a unique competition, which combines orientation, adventure, endurance and much more in an incomparable setting: the wildest Galicia, which from October 2 to 9 will be the stage of the adventure racing World Championship, with a route of 620 kilometers to explore in the disciplines of trail, mountain biking, sea and river kayaking, navigation and ropes.
The AR World Championship 2021, whose finish line will be in A Coruña and will previously run through the provinces of Lugo and Ourense, has about 100 registered teams and almost 400 athletes from 24 different countries, a record participation in a modern multi-sport discipline, but with an important historical route and a large number of fans and federated athletes.
The Raid Gallaecia was born in 2013, although it has been held under different names since 2005. Since 2015 it has been part of the AR World Series, acquiring a biennial character, and after three editions on the world circuit it has been the event chosen to organize the World Championship of the specialty, held again in Europe for the first time since 2012.
