Cabreiroá’s new bottle makes its debut. Our brand has undergone a change of image in its PET formats to keep in line with the glass formats, turning heads with their new transparent, stylish design which will catch the eye of consumers due to the play between front and back labels
The new format leaves the dark blue colour and ergonomic shape behind, adopting a more elegant silhouette. The new bottle, transparent and slimmer, plays with the transparencies of the front and back labels which combine to recreate a number of different situations that bring vitality to mind.
There are six designs in total which make reference to Cabreiroá as water for life, as energetic, from Galicia, with 100 years of history, and with a balanced composition. Water and activities full of life are the underlying idea of these designs that will be part of the new bottle design over the coming weeks. In addition to this, Cabreiroá will continue to integrate the image of the Spanish National Football Team, of which it will still be the official water, on the outer packaging as well as on the back label.
The launch of this new PET bottle will be carried out gradually and, as of next week, it will be present in the food channel in 1.5 litre formats. The rest of the formats will be available as of the end of the month.
The history of Cabreiroá.
The Cabreiroá Spring was discovered in the 19th century. It is located in the district of Cabreiroá, within the municipality of Verín (Ourense), set in parkland owned by the company and sheltered from possible external contamination.
The water of Cabreiroá was declared safe for public use in 1906, and since then, the company has bottled and sold its mineral water. A spa was built near the spring which was open until the middle of the 20th century. Santiago Ramón y Cajal, Nobel Prize for Medicine, analysed the bacteriological characteristics of Cabreiroá water in that period, praising its qualities, and even visiting the spa on numerous occasions.
Currently, Cabreiroá belongs to Hijos de Rivera, a company that has invested important sums of money to modernise and promote the bottling plant as well as protecting the surroundings of the spring and preserve the natural resources as much as possible.
The Galician mineral water company is going through an important expansion process in Spain, ensuring key sponsorship deals such as of the Spanish National Football Team, of which it is the official water.
