The range of 1906 beers triumphs in two prominent European quality contests in which awards are granted by sector experts. The International Taste & Quality Institute (Brussels) has awarded 3 Gold Superior Taste Stars to each of the premium Hijos de Rivera beers, and the recent edition of Monde Selection has awarded 1906 Reserva Especial and 1906 Red Vintage a Gold Quality Award each. These two prizes certify the quality of each of the two brands on an international level, and have been won in two contests whose juries are made up of some of the most prestigious international chefs, members of the Academie Culinaire de France, and renowned sommeliers from all over Europe.
1906 Reserva Especial and 1906 Red Vintage thus establish themselves internationally. The International Taste & Quality Institute has awarded 3 Gold Stars to each of the beers in the 1906 range, awarding the highest score to 1906 Red Vintage, the Galician brewery’s latest launch. These scores are given by the 14 most prestigious European culinary institutions with which this European Institute collaborates, and among which can be found Maîtres Cuisiniers of France and Belgium, The Academy of Culinary Arts, the Federación de Asociaciones de Cocineros, Académie Culinaire of France, Asociaciones de Cocineros de España, and so on.
These Hijos de Rivera products also triumph in the Monde Selection International Institute for Quality Selection 2013 awards, upon being given a Gold Superior Taste Star each. The Hijos de Rivera beers were awarded this prize, which certifies superior quality, by 70 experts who make up the jury in each edition. These accolades follow the Grand Gold Quality Award won by Magna de Cabreiroa, also in this internationally prestigious contest.
Magma de Cabreiroa and 1906 Reserva Epecial have been awarded their respective prizes for the third consecutive year and it is for this reason that they will receive the Monde Selection International High Quality Award, a prize for a brand’s commitment to quality, at the gala ceremony to be held on the 31st of May in Stockholm. Monde Selection has been evaluating the quality of almost 3000 products from 80 countries for over 50 years, with the aim of highlighting the efforts made by different brands to promote quality in their products. It is one of the most renowned and well-established institutions on an international level due to its commitment to the quality of consumer products.
